The GHD Foundation marks a significant milestone as we thank Jo Metcalfe, and welcome Chris Stevenson into the role of Managing Director

July 29, 2025

Jo’s leadership has been instrumental in shaping the Foundation’s purpose and global impact. As we thank her for her extraordinary contributions, we also look ahead with excitement to the future under Chris’ guidance, continuing its mission to build resilient communities globally with a focus on equitable access to STEAM education and employment.

Thank You, Jo Metcalfe

Jo Metcalfe - Deputy Chair

We start with immense gratitude for Jo Metcalfe, whose vision and leadership have shaped the GHD Foundation into what it is today. Since its launch five years ago – during the global challenges of 2020, the Foundation has issued over 176 grants to 76 charitable orgs spanning US, Canada, Australia, Philippines, Chile, UAE, Papua New Guinea, New Zealand, Fiji, and England alongside developing a roadmap to impact strategy in advancement of its mission to help build resilient communities globally.

Jo responded to a powerful question that resonated across GHD: "How can we help?" She turned that question into action, transforming an inspired idea into a thriving corporate foundation. Under her stewardship, the Foundation has become a global force for good, supporting communities and providing equitable access to Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics (STEAM) education and employment.

Jo's impact will leave a legacy, and we know many across our network share heartfelt thanks for her efforts. We look forward to Jo's ongoing contribution to the GHD Foundation as Deputy Chair.
