GHD Foundation’s new partnership with the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Mathematics Alliance (ATSIMA) continues the commitment to improving equity in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM) education and employment, by highlighting the M in STEAM.
ATSIMA believes in the importance of mathematics education for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students and delivers STEAM camps, professional development sessions, school programs, conferences and webinars for communities throughout Australia.
This grant will support ATSIMA to develop and implement a suite of resources for students up to year 10 which are aligned to the new Australian Curriculum: Mathematics. The materials will empower teachers with culturally responsive content that connects Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander histories and cultures.
